Junya Watanabe’s Sculptural Fall Collection.

To say I am obsessed with Junya Watanabe‘s extraordinary designs is an understatement. His fall collection, a constructional, origami-like arrangement, features honeycomb cutouts and spikey hexagonal shapes, reminiscent of paper dolls.

To bring this amazing craftsmanship to life, The Cut worked with frequent collaborator, Erik Madigan Heck: “Junya’s collection in many ways had to be photographed as still lives and not photographs of a person,” he said. “I tried to make them as illustrative and flat as possible to contrast their three dimensionality. In the end I wanted the images to look like paper cutouts.”

More after the jump..

Ahhhmazing. View more of the collection here.

Happy Monday!

Right here is the perfect web site for everyone who really wants to find out about this topic.
You realize a whole lot its almost tough to argue with you (not
that I actually would want to…HaHa). You definitely put a fresh spin on a
topic that’s been written about for ages. Excellent stuff, just wonderful!

Hey there would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but
I’m having a hard time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different
then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
