Empty Public Spaces.

01

Germany-based photographer Candida Höfer, started taking color photographs of offices, banks and waiting rooms in 1979 while studying in Düsseldorf. Specializing in large-format photographs, Höfer sets to capture the “psychology of social architecture”. Today, Höfer’s interest in representing public spaces has expanded to empty museums, libraries, national archives, and opera houses. Her photographs are some of the most beautiful you will ever see..
